CRIMINAL DEFENSE

If you have been arrested or feel you are in immediate danger of being arrested, you probably already know you need the assistance of a criminal attorney. One of the biggest mistakes many people make when they are arrested is to ignore their Miranda rights and try and talk their way out of legal trouble instead of immediately consulting an attorney. An attorney is there for you to safe guard your legal rights and helps minimize the case the police have against you.

Most people don't differentiate between civil law and criminal law, partly because the majority of news coverage in the media is dedicated to criminal law cases. Most people have heard of a civil lawsuit, but they aren't really sure how the two are different. Civil cases aren't as widely publicized because they don't ever have the same dramatic punch that often comes with a big criminal case.

Some women may not feel that they are excluded access to a women's self-defense class; however this is often not true. Many communities have athletic gymnasiums which offer martial arts classes or even specific women's self defense courses. School systems also often sponsor learning seminars which will include a class in women's self defense. In addition, many local agencies sponsor these instructional classes for little or no cost.

There are many cases in which criminal law lawyers are indispensable, and if you are ever in need of legal defense in a civil or criminal case, or both, this is the type of counsel you will need to seek. If you are not able to pay for a lawyer upon the time of your arrest, you will be appointed one through the state who will stand for you at your initial arraignment. This will not last throughout the duration of your legal battle, however, so you will need to find a way of retaining a criminal law lawyer of your own before your trial begins.

Today it seems like there's a martial arts school on every block and many of them are of dubious quality. Most of the students are children, and they're taught some form of combat sport. Some schools offer self defense training or promise a good workout, but few teach real combat martial arts. There was a time though when people did learn the practical skills they needed to survive a real street fight.
