Because there is so much fear mongering out there, and because the police themselves seldom go out of their way to tell their arrests all of their rights, many people charged with drug possession think they are at the mercy of the court. While in some cases you may have little recourse, this is usually not the case. The important thing to remember is that an arrest does not mean the abolishment of your rights as a United States citizen. In fact, many of those very rights are there to protect someone in your position. Knowing what they are can put you back of level footing.
According to Senator Patrick Leahey, Judiciary Committee Chairman, the antitrust exemption in the 1944 McCarran-Ferguson Act was meant to be temporary. Senator Trent Lott and others have argued that the exemption has led to collusion by insurance companies on setting rates and denying claims, as witnessed by the experience of hurricane Katrina. McCarran-Ferguson, in other words, is obsolete, and potentially damaging.
A common issue among companies is the giving of loans between companies and to Directors. However, there are company law rules governing the provision of loans and companies need to ensure they are compliant with the law. In Ireland, the majority of Private Limited Companies are owned by two or three shareholders. If these companies want to expand, they usually set up a new company using the same shareholders.
Heroin and cocaine are two of the world's most dangerous drugs. In addition to their effects on the body, they are associated with international smuggling and are a primary source of income for drug cartels and organized crime the world over. For these reasons the legal penalties for possession, transport, and sale of these drugs are very strict. People who have been arrested in possession of these substances are entitled to the help of a criminal defense lawyer.
It seems that you and your cronies in Congress have forgotten that little stipulation protecting every American citizen's individual rights. All of you have sworn oaths to protect our rights spelled out in that Constitution that you seem to have so conveniently forgotten to uphold. It's a simple and sacred duty, and should be very easy to do. You are not to infringe on any one person's natural rights. But it seems you feel your duty is to protect the collective population. |
